The Government has announced on national television that we are allowed to start face to face appointments again from the 8th June 2020.
Due to making arrangements for reopening the Practice, staff training and acquiring all the appropriate PPE needed to safely treat our patients we plan to open Monday the 15th of June.
We appreciate everyone will want to make their next appointment but to avoid the reception staff being overrun and patients being frustrated by long telephone wait times we will contact you with your appointment. At this early stage priority will be for the patients who unfortunately had problems during the lock down, after this then patients will be rebooked in the order they were before the lockdown to be fair to all.
You can still email us directly on info@dentalcarenailsea.co.uk and we will respond as soon as we can, but please be patient.
Infection control has always been a top priority in all dental practices. Our practice follows stringent standards of infection control so that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable. We are now focusing on new practice protocols in order to operate a safe and efficient dental practice for all our patients, our staff and our wider community during the COVID-19 crisis.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we are implementing to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice.
You will note some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We are making these changes and revising our protocols to help protect you, our patients, and our team.
We aim to open for longer hours to see you all however treatment and clean down times need to be extended so we ask you to please bear with us.
From booking in for an appointment we will be asking you for a detailed dental and medical history, we may ask you to send some photos of any problems you might be having in your mouth and that will help us to book you into the appropriate slot into the diary so we can be fully prepared with all the equipment we might need to help you in the surgery.
Medical histories, consent forms and any money transactions will be dealt with over an online patient portal, phone, email or text.
We ask you to attend by yourself unless a minor or you need a carer and not to bring any excess baggage such as heavy coats or extra bags with you.
Please arrive promptly 10 minutes before your appointment time, remain in your car or outside and call us to confirm your arrival.
On entering the building, we will once again confirm your COVID status and also check your temperature. You’ll be asked to wipe your feet and place any unnecessary items in a plastic box. One of our team will take you to sanitise your hands.
You will be asked to take an anti-viral mouthwash once in the treatment room and after your treatment is completed you will be asked to hand sanitise again before leaving the treatment room.
We will contact you about any further treatments over phone, email or video call so we can discuss your requirements remotely and book your further appointments accordingly.
